Roodborstjes"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>De Petroicidae, of Australaziatische roodborstjes, vormen een familie van zangvogels die uitsluitend voorkomt in Australi\u00eb, Nieuw-Guinea, Nieuw-Zeeland en omliggende eilanden. Ondanks hun naam zijn ze niet nauw verwant aan de Europese roodborst; ze danken die naam aan hun vaak opvallende borstkleuren en vergelijkbare bouw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Petroicidae zijn meestal kleine, insectenetende vogels die actief foerageren vanaf een lage uitkijkpost. Ze komen voor in uiteenlopende habitats: van regenwoud en struikgewas tot droge savanne en bergbossen. Veel soorten zijn territoriaal en zingen opvallend melodieus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bekende soorten zijn onder meer:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ornaatroodborstje (Petroica ornata)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fluitroodborstje (Petroica phoenicea)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oostelijke geelborst (Eopsaltria australis)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ze zijn geliefd bij vogelaars vanwege hun rustige
